Screen Printing

How it Works

The "traditional" method of applying logos on garments, screen printing can be done on any base colour of shirt and results in a vibrant print sitting on top of the fabric. 

Your artwork is separated into each colour used and these are individually printed onto film sheets. The sheet is used with a mesh that's been coated in a light-sensitive emulsion to create a unique screen that only allows ink to pass through areas where there is artwork.

Note: If your artwork/logo requires vectorization, a $20 fee will be charged per art file.

Ink is pressed through the screen and onto the garment using a squeegee; this process is repeated for each colour in the design. The garment then goes through a dryer after each pass of ink.

Colour Matching

While most of our ink colours are pre-selected to match our fabric or vinyl colours, we can match any Pantone colour for you. We also offer some metallic and neon colours! We can accommodate designs of up to 3 colours.

Minimum orders

Winter Bonus: Our screen printing minimum for new jobs is only 20 units until March 15th.

The minimum order for new screen printed jobs is 36 units (15 for repeat), unless otherwise noted. You may include up to two different styles in the 36 unit minimum, although tops and bottom styles cannot be combined to reach minimums as they are different set-ups.

Timeline

The timeline for screen printed gear is from 2.5-4 weeks, depending on the time of year and the complexity of your order. Please contact us for current timelines.

Garment Shrinkage

Screen printed garments may experience shrinkage (3%-9%) during customization.  Dark coloured garments will shrink more than light colours. 

Fabric shrinkage occurs when fibers, stretched during manufacturing, relax and revert to their natural state after exposure to heat, causing the garment to shrink.

Please take this into consideration when you are figuring out the right size for you. If you are deciding between two sizes of screen printed garments, consider going with the larger due to potential shrinkage. 

Pricing

The pricing below is for customization only - it is added to the base cost of your garments. 

Note that you can use one logo across different styles of tops to meet the minimum order quantity, but jersey and shorts prints cannot be combined (even if the art is the same).

*Only repeat orders are accepted under 36 units, and are are subject to a screen setup fee of $40 for each colour in the design.
